Where to Find Your VPS or VDS Server Password
Where to Find Your Server Password
After ordering and activating your VPS or VDS server at ForceVPS, the system automatically generates an initial password for accessing the operating system.
Your server login credentials are sent to the email address associated with your ForceVPS account. If you haven't received the email or cannot find it, you can retrieve your initial password through the ForceVPS client area.
Method 1. Check Your Email
Once your service is activated, an email containing your server login credentials is automatically sent to your registered email address.
- Open the email inbox associated with your ForceVPS account.
- Find the email confirming the activation of your VPS or VDS server.
- The email contains your connection details, including the IP address, username, and initial password.
Important: If you cannot find the email in your inbox, make sure to check your Spam, Junk, or Promotions folders.
Method 2. View Sent Emails in the Client Area
If the activation email was not delivered or was accidentally deleted, you can view the history of email messages sent to you by ForceVPS.
- Log in to the ForceVPS Client Area.
- Click your profile menu in the upper-right corner of the page.
- Select "Sent Emails".
- Find the activation email for the server you need.
- Open the message to view your server connection details.
This section stores a history of emails sent to you by the ForceVPS system. Even if the original email is missing from your mailbox, you can access its contents again through your client area.
Method 3. Find Your Password in the Server Control Panel
Your initial server password is also available directly from your service management page.
- Log in to your ForceVPS client area.
- Navigate to "Services" → "My Services".
- Select the VPS or VDS server you want to access.
- On the server management page, locate the "Open noVNC" button.
- Below this button, click "SSH Access" or "RDP Access", depending on your server's operating system.
- View your initial connection credentials, including the password.
For Linux servers, use the SSH Access option. For Windows servers, use the RDP Access option.
Why Is My Initial Password Not Working?
Please note: The password displayed in your activation email and server control panel is the initial password automatically generated when your service was ordered.
If you changed your user password directly within the Linux or Windows operating system after your first login, the initial password is no longer valid.
In this case, you must use the new password you set yourself to connect to your server.
Changing your password within the operating system does not automatically update the initial password displayed in the ForceVPS client area or in previously sent emails.
